Early Childhood Enrichment Center

Gainesville Country Day curriculum emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and active rather than passive learning in preschool classes. We use a “hands-on,” multi-sensory approach to teach new concepts, as young children learn best through action.

If your child is 4 years old or older by Sept 1 of the current (or upcoming school year), check out our Pre-K5 program on the 24th Avenue Campus.

Learn Through Play

“Play is a child’s work.” This is a motto often heard at Gainesville Country Day School. Play has been found to contribute to children’s physical, mental, emotional, and social development. We want children to experience the joy of learning so that desire stays with them for a lifetime.

Junior Toddlers

One Year Olds

Little ones in the Junior Toddler classroom will begin to experience a collective schedule, where all students will transition from one activity to another as a group and begin the early stages of independent play, self-feeding, and lots of exploration. Outside time, sensory activities, and visits from the Music teacher are highlights of their day.

 Girl Painting with Brush

Senior Toddlers

Two Year Olds

The transition from Junior Toddler to Senior Toddler is an exciting one. Our Senior Toddler class is full of energy and discovery. During activities, we focus on fine and gross motor development. Verbal and social skills are another primary focus. Once communication skills are strong, we begin to focus on potty training.

Kinder Class & Pre-K4

Offered School Year or Year-Round

For our Kinder Class and Pre-K4 students, we offer flexibility in a year-round option or a calendar enrollment. The school calendar is very similar to 24th Avenue Campus schedule, with the same holidays for congruency between your children's schedules across ages.

Art Class

Kinder Class

Three Years Old and Potty Trained

Independence is a primary focus in the Kinder Class classroom. Children find immense satisfaction and self-confidence when practicing and mastering skills on their own. Letter and number concepts are explored while a consistent focus on learning through play is recognized.

Playing with Animals

Pre-K4

3 1/2 years and Potty Trained

As the final year on the Tower Road Campus, Pre-K4 offers students a place to grow and discover themselves. We continue to encourage independence and introduce letter and numbers to establish a firm academic foundation prior to their transition to Pre-K5.

Music

Gainesville Country Day Senior Toddlers, Kinder Class, and Pre-K4 students have music class every day. We strongly believe in the arts and language as important learning tools and means of self-expression.
