PTA Information

Parents at GCDS are members of the parent organization, the GCDS – PTA. This support group aids the faculty and staff with projects throughout the year. Much of their work involves parent education, social events, and fundraising committees.

The PTA helps to provide enrichment equipment for the technology programs, science laboratory, physical education, playgrounds, and the library. All participation in GCDS projects is on a voluntary basis. We hope some of the many activities will encourage your active involvement at the level at which you feel comfortable.

Some of the activities sponsored by the GCDS – PTA include the Fall and Spring Carnivals, parent education programs, gift wrap sales, our annual silent auction and raffle, the SCRIP program, and library volunteers.

Parents will receive PTA newsletters throughout the year highlighting upcoming events and the activities will be posted on the GCDS website.
